Recently, I have watched one of the popular TV show, which is call breaking bad, and it has five season. In fact, this series based on a crime drama and action. It got many awards, and one of these awards is Golden Globe Award. In briefly, the story of this series is about a teacher who was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, and he confronted challenges in order to fight and overcome on this serious illness. For that reason, he wanted to save money for his family before the cancer destroy him, so he met one person who was interested in selling drugs. Then they worked together and becoming a big drug dealer. However, I highly recommend this show and I think it is one of the best show I have ever seen.

    I have read this article and it was mainly about the strategies of distribution food around the world. I found in this article how a customer is important for the marketing. For instance, this article gives example of the people in Iceland who do not have a cell phone. Therefore, when they go to theater, the employee bring them a phone to order from Domino’s restaurant. The company of Domino’s has teamed who drive in to deliver the pizza to the customer in the theater. In fact, this article remind me of some strategies of marketing that I learned in the college in my country. For example, there is one strategy, which is call substitution, and this strategy means to give another product instead of non-available product. Therefore, when the customer come to the store to buy something he needs but he could not find it, the seller will show him another item that related to one he wanted. Finally, I think that any company want to success, it must provide the customers a convenient services and try to make them satisfied.

 Silver Lining Playbook

  The movie of Silver Linings Playbook is an American romantic comedy drama film that written and directed by David O. Russell. The main actors are Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert De Niro. The story of the film was mixing between comedy and action. It was about a man whose name Patrick. He suffered from the depression and he was treating in hospital. However, he released from the hospital and he moved back to live with his parents. Then he started to seek for his wife. While he was looking for his wife, he met Tiffany Maxwell who was a widow girl. She had the same problem. Anyway, she offered her help to Patrick to find his wife if he entered to the dance competition. She was interested in dance and she was recently released from the hospital. Then they got to know each other and become closer as they train. Later, they participated in one of the dance competition and they won.

Music

The music is the thing that contributes to explain our issue and express our emotion. the music has a message that may change our thought about certain things in our life. In fact, the most interesting thing in the music when you feel happy or sad you can find a song that can feel about your situation. There are many kinds of music like rap, rock and other kinds of music. Anyway, I like to listen to the Arabic music and it is different to other kind of music. However, recently I started to listen to the rap music and it's my second favorite kind of music. There is one artist I like to listen to his music and he is the first rapper in Saudi Arabia. Moreover, I like rap music because often discus about the important issue of society. Finally, there are a lot of songs that I like, but the song of Any Given Day is the most favorite song. I believe that music is not just words sung, but there is a certain message that hidden inside any song.

Globalization & Americanization

I have read about the globalization's and Americanization's. In fact, the term of Americanization was sound new for me, so I wanted to read and figured out what is it mean. However, we have been through these two experiences through our daily life. In addition, this reading shows and describes the difference between these two terms or concept. Now, I realized that the concept of Americanization was spreading and expanding fast and has a big influence on all over the world.

     This poster illustrates the flag of my country and the important landmarks in my country. There is a picture of one of the important festivals in my country which call Janadriyah and it’s the avenue for Saudi Arabia’s national festival heritage and it held in the winter season in every year. In addition, there are some of monuments like a big fountain in the world. Also, there is a picture of the big festival of flowers in my country which are from different kinds of flowers that held every spring

Pop Culture

I don’t think there are a lot of changes about myself. In fact, sometimes I find myself able to control on myself, so it’s not easy to influence by other culture. Though I think that is not positive to not let yourself influencing by other culture, protection your identity and culture from changes is important. Anyway, there are some are some aspects have influenced and changed me since I have been in the U.S such as be punctual and knowing the important of the time. Also, how the system in general in U.S is important and makes everything easy. For example, the transportation’s system is arranging the way of transportation and each way has certain bus or train to reach specific location. I have learned from this class a lot of things. I have learned and become aware about the right meaning of pop culture. Also, I learned what the difference is between the two terms of a high culture and pop culture. I’m gladding to take this class and it opened my eye on many things that I was not aware about them.
